Intricately carved Angel Skin Coral Monkey pendant bead. This is a vintage Asian figural piece, in the form of a monkey. It is a gorgeous pale pink color with some splashes of darker pink. The monkey is sitting up and there is a hole straight through the head and body of the monkey. One of a kind piece expertly carved from a single piece of natural angel skin coral that has not been dyed or treated. It stands 1 inch or 26mm high and is 13mm wide. 

The Monkey is the 9th sign of Chinese Zodiac and are known to be cheerful and energetic by nature and usually represent flexibility. People under the sign of the Monkey are wise, intelligent, confident, charismatic, loyal, inventive and have leadership. In China, the monkey is widely perceived as smart and powerful. People often offer sacrifices to monkeys to pray for rain and even for sons, and they have become an interesting part of Chinese culture.
